A few months ago, our school district started the process to shape a new vision for the future of our schools. We partnered with leading architects, engaged our community, and spent many hours in discussion and analysis around the dynamic education, enrollment, and financial needs of our district.
We have had dozens of conversations, including several community focus group discussions, as well as many staff and leadership-based discussions to develop several concepts for our future, with particular focus on the high school level, where we are poised to make the most immediate and impactful changes. Our concepts for continued discussion include:
Concept A: New Single High School
Concept B: Two New High Schools
Concept C: Build New High School & Renovate Central
Concept D: Renovate Current High Schools
Concept E: New 9th Grade Center & 10-12 High School
As you review the below concepts, consider this: Imagine it is 2040 in St. Joseph. Which concept do you think provides the best alternative for our city’s future?
